INVITATION PARUK

Dear friends,

I wanted to thank all of you who came and joined our efforts to get Toulcuv dvur ready for the spring. It was an absolutely marvelous weekend for me and i hope you enjoyed it too.

It took me a while to get far enough with the preparations to actually have enough details to send you all an invitation for the next TAMJDEM weekend. There it is now!!

Friday 30.3 – Sunday 1.4.2007

We are going to help an independent club in Prague, at Zizkov. It is called Parukarka, for those of you that know it (also Bunkr). The club has been a cult place for locals, but the city needs to get this kind of places out of Parukarka – new, luxurious houses are going to get built near by. That is why Parukarka has moved underground to the Bunker.

WHAT will we DO: Cultivate the place around the entrance, clear the slope above from stones that might kill party-goers, clear the wall for renovation and hopefully open a new entrance! In case it rains or is particularly nasty outside, we will paint walls inside.

We have been promised a wonderfull GULASH for our efforts and a party on Saturday evening! Vegetarians, let me know so we can make some tasty salad for you instead.

WHEN and WHERE do we meet: at 19:00 on Friday 30th at Senovazne namesti 24 (Duha headquarters). I have reserved pub for us to go to.

On Saturday we meet at 10:00 in front of Parukarka. You will find it easily (MAP attached; www.mapy.cz). On Saturday evening there is a party in the club. We hope friends of the pub will come to help, too. On Sunday we will meet at 11:00 and play frisbee, games and talk about future weekends.

HOW to GET THERE:

To Duha: take tram c. 3, 9, 14, 24 to the Jindrisska stop, its 30 metres from there

To Parukarku: take bus c. 136 or tram 5, 9, 26 to Olsanske namesti – it is 200 metres from there

WHAT to BRING: Working clotches (!), a sleeping bag and a mat. If you have a kite, bring it too - Parukarka is a hill renowned for kite-flying!

WHAT not to BRING: Cabbage, styrofoam, frisbee or hardboiled eggs.

This time, we did not manage to get a place where we could all sleep together. We have found a cool place where all the team can be staying over! Food and accomodation will be FREE.
